OSBI Criminalist of the Year Award
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Criminalist Robert Weston was presented with the OSBI 2007 Criminalist of the Year Award during a ceremony Tuesday at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Weston is a drug chemist working from the OSBI Central Laboratory in Oklahoma City.
During the year, Weston developed a method to determine the purity of methamphetamine and to identify substances not easily identified using standard methods. He also built a spectral library and developed quantitation methods for methamphetamine.
Weston has worked for the bureau nearly 11 years.
