OSBI Investigates Spiro Homicide

Spiro Police requested OSBI assistance in a weekend homicide.  Sunday afternoon (July 23^rd), a passerby discovered a body in the alley between 2^nd and 3^rd streets and Main.

OSBI agents and local law enforcement quickly identified the victim as 42-year-old Thomas Chambers of Spiro.  An autopsy performed this morning by the medical examiner’s office confirms cause of death as a single gunshot wound to the head.

Law enforcement officials are collecting evidence and searching for witnesses.
