OSBI Investigates Checotah Homicide

Checotah Police called OSBI for assistance in a shooting that happened Monday evening, July 17^th, where one person was killed and two were injured. The shooting happened outside the home of one of the victims.

Several people were outside the Checotah home of Milton Warrior (dob 2/13/84) when Timothy Lee Dawkins, Junior (dob 6/2/79) walked up on the group and began firing a gun.  Warrior and Dan Dyer (dob 1/27/84) were shot in the back area.  One of the men returned gunfire killing Dawkins. 

Dyer and Warrior were taken to a Muskogee Hospital where they remain.

OSBI and Checotah Police are working to determine the motive behind this shooting.
