Missing and Endangered Child in Maysville

Maysville Police has requested OSBI assistance in a case of a missing 15-year-old girl.  The teenager has a mental capacity of a 6 year old.

Shawna Nicole Evans was last seen at her parents’ home in Maysville between 4 and 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon.  Her bicycle was found in a ditch 6 blocks from her home on Highway 19 in Garvin County. 

Shawna is 5’5” tall, weighs 160 pounds and has brown eyes and short brown hair. She was last seen wearing black pants and a blue shirt. She has a birthmark on her left hip and has a speech impediment.

An Amber Alert has not been issued since officials have no information about a possible abductor.  However, her mental capacity and physical appearance put her at risk. 

OSBI is in the process of obtaining a photograph of the girl for publication.
