Body Discovered In Lincoln County Water Well
A tip concerning the whereabouts of a missing 19-year-old Cleo Springs man led OSBI agents to a water well in rural Lincoln County Sunday (5/28) morning.
The body was removed and sent to the medical examiner’s office in Oklahoma City for positive identification. OSBI delivered Curtis Stanley’s dental records to the medical examiner’s office today (5/31). However, information found on the body as well as clothing descriptions of Stanley at the time of his disappearance May 14th match that of Stanley.
The medical examiner will also determine exact cause of death. OSBI is working the death as a homicide at this time. No arrests have been made in this homicide case.
Twenty-year-old Jay Davis was arrested last week at his Cherokee home for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle when he was discovered driving Stanley’s 1995 Pontiac Firebird. Davis sits in the Alfalfa County jail on a $50,000 bond.
