OSBI Investigates Homicide in Nowata County

Stephen C. Means (dob 6/11/57) was shot and killed inside his home on H.C. 61 near Lenapah either late Saturday or early Sunday.  His body was then dumped in a shallow creek bed in Labette, Kansas.  A highway worker found his body.

Means’ wife, Rhonda J. Robirds (dob 3/6/-67) was arrested for the homicide Tuesday night.

OSBI and local law enforcement are searching for a second suspect in this homicide, Joshua Hill (dob 8-5-85). 

Hill and Robirds are acquaintances.  Their motive in this murder is unknown at this time.
