Chickasha Police Officer Charged

Last week, the Grady County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation do an investigation into Lance Harper, a Chickasha Police Officer, for forgery.

During the investigation, an OSBI agent discovered Harper forged the signature of his wife and attorney on a final divorce decree. This document was used by Harper to apply for and obtain a home mortgage loan from American Mortgage Group Inc.

This afternoon (1/??/06) an OSBI agent filed one felony count of 2^nd degree forgery by passing a fraudulent document.

The investigation continues.
