Reward Offered in Missing Man Case 08-26-09

New information on possible witnesses to a Tahlequah man’s disappearance has prompted the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to offer up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the disappearance of Stephen Adams.  These witnesses are encouraged to come forward.

December 13th, 2004, the 26-year-old man disappeared while giving someone a ride south of Tahlequah.  Adams had just taken a final exam at NSU.  His last known contact was a cell phone conversation with his girlfriend Monday morning at 11 o’clock.  Adams’ disappearance is considered suspicious since he had other final exams scheduled later in the week, and he never showed up for work.

Adams was driving a 1995 GMC truck, white in color, with an Oklahoma license tag reading SCQ-714.

Anyone with information on a location for Adams is urged to call either Tahlequah Police at 918-456-8801 or the OSBI hotline at 800-522-8017.
