Who are We?

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is made up of more than 300 men and women who have dedicated their lives to making Oklahoma a safer place to live.  We do that in many ways – from performing criminal history background checks for employers and the general public, to testing physical evidence for all Oklahoma law enforcement agencies, to working crimes across the state and putting violent offenders behind bars.

Many of our employees also give back to the community.  We have helped build houses for economically underprivileged families through Habitat for Humanity.  Groups of employees at Headquarters and the Central Lab make Oklahoma cleaner with the Adopt a Street trash pickup program.  And, many workers participate in the program “Partners in Education” and spend their lunch break tutoring at local elementary schools.  Many employees dedicate energy and resources to the Adopt an Angel program, as well.

The Bureau’s history is rich with accomplishments; our future holds endless possibilities.
