Training & Development Workshops

Signing Up: Workshop enrollment is usually limited to state employees. If you are a state employee, check with your agency's human resources or training office first to find out how to register for a workshop. You cannot enroll for workshops directly through this website. Check out the current training schedule to find out what workshops are being offered this semester.

Canceling: Participants who need to cancel should first call their agency's training officer or human resources coordinator, or if unavailable, the HCM Training & Development Department at (405) 521-6334 before the workshop starts. It is important to do this as early as possible because there are waiting lists for most courses.

Location: Most classes are taught at the Tom Steed Development Center at Rose State College in Midwest City, at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa, and at the NEW Jim Thorpe Building Basement/OPM Training Center. Check your confirmation notice for the location of your class.

Times: All courses start at 8:30 a.m. and end by 4:30 p.m. (Tulsa courses end at 4:30.)

Course Descriptions: You will find course descriptions in the T&D Training Catalog.

Continuing Education Units:
Participants in Training & Development courses are awarded Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The CEU is a method of measuring training hours.  The Human Capital Management/Office of Management and Enterprise Services is an organizational member of the International Association of Continuing Education and Training.  Training & Development courses also satisfy mandatory supervisory training requirements for state employees.

Special Accommodations:
Reasonable accommodations for participants (including sign-language interpretation) are available upon request. Please contact Grayson Bedwell at (405) 521-6334 for assistance. Please call this number if you need assistance with special accommodations for visually impaired or hearing impaired participants, or other participants with disabilities.
