State Employee Child Care Program

State law authorizes the OPM Administrator to approve and administer child care centers for minor dependents of state employees. The Administrator is assisted in this task by members of the Child Care Program Advisory Committee whose purpose it is to review the child care needs of state employees, recommend suitable sites for centers, and monitor and evaluate the operation of the centers. Administrative rules adopted by the OPM Administrator provide additional information related to the State Employee Child Care Program. The OPM Administrator appoints all members of the Child Care Program Advisory Committee.
