Equal Opportunity and Workforce Diversity

Who We Are
The Equal Opportunity and Workforce Diversity (EOWD) Team members provide services that support the development and continuance of a diverse state workforce.
Products and Services We Provide
Team members review state agency affirmative action plans and prepare the annual Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Status Report. The Affirmative Action Plan Manual is designed to help agencies in the development of their EEO/AA programs and to provide uniform guidelines for the preparation of their annual written affirmative action plans.  It contains recommended methods, techniques, and related instructions for EEO/AA program monitoring, evaluating, and reporting for state agencies.

The EOWD Team members coordinate, in cooperation with the Alliance for Civil Rights, Inc., the training and certification of discrimination complaints investigators and agency civil rights and affirmative action personnel.

Team Members also provide staff support to the Affirmative Action Review Council, the Governor's Advisory Council on Latin American and Hispanic Affairs, the Governor's Advisory Council on Asian-American Affairs, and the Governor's Ethnic American Advisory Council.
