Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition

The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) supports visual artists living and working in Oklahoma and promotes public interest and understanding of the arts. With opportunities available for individual artists and teams, OVAC has many types of grants for filmmakers, from project funding to money for travel.

Cinereach

Created and led by young philanthropists, entrepreneurs and filmmakers, Cinereach is a not-for-profit film production company and foundation that champions vital stories artfully told. The organization empowers fiction and nonfiction filmmakers from all over the world and has disbursed over $4 million to more than 80 projects at the intersection of engaging storytelling, visual artistry and vital subject matter.

All Roads Film Project: National Geographic Film Grant for Indigenous and Minority Filmmakers

The All Roads Film Project is a National Geographic program dedicated to providing a platform for indigenous and underrepresented minority-culture storytellers around the world to showcase their works to promote knowledge, dialogue, and understanding with a broader, global audience.

Oklahoma Arts Council

Fostering the arts across the state, the Oklahoma Arts Council has a played a pivotal role for more than 40 years. It sustains Oklahoma’s vibrant non-profit art industry and strives to lead, cultivate, and support a thriving arts environment, which is essential to quality of life, education and economic vitality for all Oklahomans.

Panavision's New Filmmaker Program

Panavision’s New Filmmaker Program is an ongoing grant program. Through this organization, Panavision donates the use of 16mm or 35mm motion picture camera equipment to filmmakers who are making public service announcements, showcase reels, “low-budget” independent features or any other type of short, non-profit film.

Oklahoma Humanities Council

The Oklahoma Humanities Council is a non-profit organization that provides funding and resources that support humanities education and a vibrant cultural life for all Oklahomans. OHC promotes meaningful public engagement with the humanities.  As the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, it strives to stimulate discussion, inform new perspectives, and actively engage people in lifelong learning.

The Roy W. Dean Writing/ Film and Video Grants (From The Heart Productions)

From the Heart Productions is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding films that are “unique and make a contribution to society” and might otherwise never be made. 

CPB Television Grants

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a private, non-profit organization that promotes public telecommunications services (television, radio, and online) for the American people. CPB invests in more than 1,000 local radio and television stations including services, programs, and ideas. These CPB-funded stations reach virtually every household in the country. CPB funds diverse and innovative programming that's useful, educational, and cultural.Most of their television programs are distributed the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

Grants for Public Television 

The Independent Television Service (ITVS) brings independently produced, high-quality public broadcast and new media programs to local, national, and international audiences. The independent producers who create ITVS programs take creative risks, tackle complex issues, and express points of view seldom explored in the mass media. ITVS programs enrich the cultural landscape with the voices and visions of underrepresented communities and reflect the interests and concerns of a diverse society.  

Creative Capital

Creative Capital reinvents the existing model of arts philanthropy and fulfills the specific needs of the country's most innovative artists.  This organization consciously chose to support and fund artists whose work challenges cultural and aesthetic conventions. This fierce commitment to freedom of expression has led Creative Capital to be fearless in the selection of exceptional projects.
