Held annually in Tulsa in the fall, the Oklahoma Dance Film Festival (OkDFF) presents dance works created for the screen. The only festival of its kind in Oklahoma, this event features dance documentaries, choreography for the camera, and experimental short films that emphasize movement. These films use the language of dance and the medium of film to create a new stage for performance, a new genre of media known as Screendance.
