The maximum speed limit on Oklahoma turnpikes is 75 mph. On interstate highways, the maximum speed limit is 70 mph. Other state and U.S. highways have a speed limit of 65 mph or 55 mph.
Twenty-three railway companies crisscross Oklahoma with 2,877 miles of track, in addition to 866 miles of state-owned track. Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer offers daily service between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, with stops in Norman, Purcell, Pauls Valley, Ardmore, and Gainesville.
