At the OCC quarterly full staff meeting on Sept. 19, the Awards & Recognition Committee announced that Brooks Tramell was selected as Employee of the Quarter. The Conservation Commission recognized Tramell at its October monthly meeting.

Tramell, OCC’s Water Quality Division monitoring coordinator, joined the agency in July 1995 and coordinates all field monitoring activities including the Rotating Basin, Eucha/Spavinaw and Honey Creek projects. His duties include supervision, coordination, and training of field investigative personnel. The nomination form stated that he works especially hard during the summer months when probabilistic monitoring is performed. He works 12- to 14-hour days during that time to ensure that every site is sampled correctly. The nomination praised Tramell for setting an example of working to high standards and being a fair and consistent supervisor of other field staff.
