The Conservation Commission¿s Awards and Recognition Committee has begun planning events and activities for 2007. In the works for February is an employee and family outing to see a Hornets basketball game at the Ford Center. The committee is also hosting an employee chili cook-off contest as part of a full staff meeting on February 21. Later this month employee entries in the contest to design an agency logo will be unveiled. Plans are in the works for a number of employee activities during Oklahoma Public Employees¿ Appreciation Week May 7-11. The first ever Commission Employee of the Year will be announced during that week.

Serving on the Commission¿s Awards and Recognition Committee in 2007 are: Shellie Willoughby, Chair from the Information Technology Division, Stacey Day, Cheryl Cheadle and Monty Ramming from the Water Quality Division, Sheryl Gibson from the Financial Management and Human Resources Division, Johnny Pelley from the Conservation Programs Division and Dianne Ireton from the AML Division. Pelley and Ireton are new members to the committee in 2007.
