Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center
Volunteer Services
Volunteers have always been an integral part of COJC. They support positive youth development in a secure juvenile treatment center.
Volunteers are valued by COJC for the significant work they do in supporting the resident’s pro-social, educational, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Volunteers can:
Be a Mentor
Mentors offer young men and women positive relationships with adults who are not a part of their history or problems.
Lead Religious Activities
Volunteers are COJC’s primary resource for providing a variety of spiritual and religious services and study groups for the youth.
Coach Life Skills and Job Readiness
Volunteers can provide youth with practical advice and information that enhances their ability to successfully navigate life once they return to the community.
Sponsor a Living Unit
Volunteer groups can sponsor living units by providing holiday celebrations and special events.
Become an Intern
Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center offers internships to students seeking experience in the juvenile justice and juvenile mental health fields.
