Board of Juvenile Affairs
The Board of Juvenile Affairs, pursuant to 10A O.S., Sections 2-7-101(H) and (I), 2-7-603, 2-7-801, 2-7-904, and 75 O.S., Section 302(A), is authorized to be the rulemaking body for the Office of Juvenile Affairs. As the rulemaking body of the Office of Juvenile Affairs, the Board is specifically charged with the duty of promulgating rules which will implement the duties and responsibilties of the Office pursuant to the Oklahoma Juvenile Code.

Office of Administrative Rules
The Office of Administrative Rules (OAR) is a division within the Secretary of State’s Office that is responsible for:
-publishing The Oklahoma Administrative Code;
-publishing The Oklahoma Register;
-implementing the provisions of Article 1 of the Administrative Procedures Act [75 O.S., Sections 250 et seq.];
-maintaining the official records for the State of Oklahoma rules and rulemaking notices; and
-providing assistance in the rulemaking process to state agencies.
Online Filing System Website
The State of Oklahoma has created an online filing system website to assist the public and the agencies by having all agencies use one central website to:
-submit Proposed Administrative Rule Admendments to be filed simultaneously to the:
-Governor's Office,
-House of Representatives,
-Senate, and
-Office of the Secretary of State;
-search all submitted Proposed Administrative Rules; and
-view actions that have been taken on the Proposed Administrative Rules by the Governor's Office.
Public Hearing
Pursuant to Title 75 O.S., Section 303(A), the public hearing for proposed rulemaking in chapters shall post the date, location address, room number, and time.
A Public Hearing for the Proposed 2013 OJA Administrative Rule Revisions will be held at 9:00 a.m. on January 17, 2013 at the Centennial Building, 3815 N. Santa Fe Ave., Ste. 170, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Each person must sign-in at the door to orally present their comments. Those wishing to present oral comments should be present at that time to register to speak. The hearing will close at the conclusion of those registered to present. Interested persons may attend for the purpose of submitting data, views, or concerns, orally or in writing, about the rule proposal described and summarized in the Notice of Rulemaking Intent published in The Oklahoma Register on December 17, 2012.
Requests for Comments from Business Entities
Business entities affected by proposed rules are requested to provide the agency with information, in dollar amounts if possible, the increase in level of direct costs such as fees, indirect costs such as reporting, recordkeeping, equipment, construction, labor, professional services, revenue loss, or other costs expected to be incurred by a particular business entity due to compliance with the proposed rules, to submit this information in writing during the comment period to: JLynn Hartman, Office of Juvenile Affairs, Director of Government Relations, 3812 N.
