- A federally-created marketplace opened for individuals and small employers on October 1st, 2013 for coverage beginning January 1st, 2014. During Open Enrollment all Oklahomans can shop and enroll for coverage. Essential Health Benefits
- Beginning January 1, 2014, most consumers will be required to have qualifying health insurance coverage. More information on the Individual Mandate can be found here: https://www.healthcare.gov/what-if-someone-doesnt-have-health-coverage-in-2014/
- Consumers without coverage may have to pay a tax penalty of the higher of $95 or 1 percent of household income in 2014; $326 or 2 percent in 2015; and $695 or 2.5 percent in 2016.
