The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop S - Commercial Vehicle Enforcement plays a role in providing law enforcement escorts for super loads. We will assist with these loads once it is determined the load meets certain height, width, length, weight requirements, or a combination of any of these four.
If you feel like you have an over-sized super load that will need an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement escort:
•Contact the Oklahoma Size and Weight Permits Division here to find out the requirements for a super load.
•You can apply for an Online Permit from their home page
•Often, a contract through Size and Weight Permits Division is required for an escort to be made.
•Once the contract is in place, Size and Weight Permits Division will contact us with the permit information.
• This process could take up to two to four weeks.
• If you do qualify for an Oklahoma Highway Patrol escort, we will contact the moving company directly, once we receive the paperwork from Size and Weight Permits Division.
~~~>Troop S is not involved with this process until the contract is finalized and the Oklahoma Size and Weight Permits Division has completed all their requirements.
