Labor Market Statistics - Local Employment Dynamics

Local Employment Dynamics:  Local Employment Dynamics (LED) is a partnership between the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission and the U.S. Census Bureau to develop information about local workforce and labor market conditions. This information is built from sources that cover more than 90% of total wage and salary civilian jobs, primarily state and federal administrative records. Exclusions to this coverage include federal government workers, agricultural workers, domestic workers, and the self-employed.

OnTheMap is a dynamic web-based mapping tool showing where people live in relation to where they work with reports on age, earnings, industry distribution, and local workforce indicators. It allows users to draw their region of interest on the map, and then get a visual display of where the labor pool for that region resides, or display where the residents of the region commute to work. Employers can use OnTheMap to get a visual picture of the concentrations of labor pool in their region and their demographic characteristics and workforce indicator statistics.  Jobseekers can use OnTheMap to produce a map of their city or county of residence and the geographic concentration of jobs within commuting distance.
