Severe thunderstorms brought widespread wind damage to western and parts of central Oklahoma on Thursday. Along with the thunderstorm wind threat, very strong winds during the day caused power outages and fanned a large wildfire near Gotebo.

Individuals and business owners in Craig, Latimer, Ottawa and Pittsburg counties are now eligible for federal and state disaster assistance is they had damage or were otherwise affected by the tornadoes and other severe weather that hit the state on May 10. This is one of many homes destroyed in the wake of the tornado that touched down in southeastern Oklahoma.
