       2008 Promulgated Rule Amendments

Each year the Ethics Commission submits its proposed amendments to the Governor and both Houses of the Legislature on the second day of the legislative session. If not disapproved by joint resolution of both Houses — subject to veto by the Governor, and the Legislature overcoming the veto by joint resolution with a two-thirds vote of both Houses — proposed amendments become effective.

On July 1, 2008, the amendments submitted on February 5, 2008, will become effective. The text of all 2008 amendments to the Constitutional Ethics Rules, Section 257:1-1-1 et seq. of the Rules of the Ethics Commission, Title 74 O.S. Supp. 2007, Ch. 62, App., appears below.
