The Safety Standards Division is staffed with inspectors located geographically around the state. This division inspects amusement rides, both portable and permanent, boilers, pressure vessels, hot water heaters in public facilities and elevators. 

This division issues license for boiler operators, boiler technicians, boiler installers and repair firms, boiler inspectors, welders, elevator contractors, elevator mechanics and elevator inspectors.
