Understanding Oklahoma Child Labor Law

The Child Labor Unit of the Oklahoma Department of Labor is responsible for educational outreach and enforcement efforts when it comes to the Oklahoma Child Labor Law. Free presentations are available to schools and youth programs upon request.

The Oklahoma Department of Labor enforces the state child labor laws applicable to minors UNDER 16 years of age.

For information about the minimum age, hours & times standards, breaks, and prohibited jobs, please see the State Child Labor Law Poster.
