Access to Benefits

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), through multi-agency collaborative efforts, offers a variety of training opportunities to help service providers assist people with mental illness effectively access needed benefits.

 The training opportunities include:

 SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) Training        

SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) Training is an in-depth, step-by-step explanation of the SSI/SSDI application and disability determination process to help service providers better assist people with applying for SSI/SSDI disability benefits.

  • Exercises and worksheets provide practical application tools

Medicare and Medicare Part D Training        

Medicare & Medicare Part D Training is offered by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, in partnership with the Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program, and is a step-by-step explanation of the Medicare and Medicare Part D application and benefits process.
