ODMHSAS Provider Certification manages the statutory certification processes stipulated by O.S., Title 43A, fl 2-101. As such, ODMHSAS is responsible for certifying all Alcohol and Drug Treatment programs, Community Mental Health Centers and Community Residential Care Mental Health programs, Gambling Treatment programs, Eating Disorder Treatment programs, Community-Based Structured Crisis Centers, and Programs of Assertive Community Treatment. Provider Certification staff review all organizations that apply for Certification in accordance with specific protocol based on ODMHSAS Standards and Criteria/Rules and Regulations*. Subsequently a certification status is recommended to the ODMHSAS Board. Some programs must also seek licensure pursuant to state law. Licensure is under Oklahoma Department of Health auspices. * All Standards and Criteria are incorporated within the Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) and as such have the force and intent of law. Changes in the OAC can result in changes to the process described above. Certification reviews are conducted on a triennial basis for treatment programs and annually for Community Residential Care Mental Health programs |
