This workgroup looked to expand the role and capacity of communities to effectively identify their needs and promote behavioral health and wellness while seeking to implement strategies for effective and accessible training and education. The workgroup addressed issues of recruitment and retention strategies at the state and local level and discussed how to actively foster leadership development among all segments of the workforce and enhance the infrastructure available to support and coordinate workforce development efforts.
