Operation Enduring Families!
The OEF/OIF Readjustment Clinic is starting a new psychoeducational class exclusively for adult family members/partners/significant others of OEF/OIF/OND veterans and service members. This 90 minute weekly group will be held for 6 weeks with an initial tentative start date of March 26th (depending on enrollment). This program will be run at least twice, depending on how successful it is.
WHO: Adult family members, partners/spouses, or significant others of post-9/11 vets (OEF/OIF/OND)
(OK even if still active duty)
WHERE/WHEN: Mondays 3-4:30pm (6 weeks), 3rd Floor OEF/OIF Readjustment Program, Tentative start date of
March 26th!
WHAT: It is a program to help families adjust to the natural difficulties of deployment and also increase their
knowledge, coping skills, and sense of empowerment related to difficulties such as:
-Depression
-Anger
-PTSD
-TBI
-Relationship Problems
-Parenting
-And more!

SAMHSA News Release
Report shows 7.5 million children live with a parent with an alcohol use disorder
A new report shows 7.5 million children under age 18 (10.5 percent of this population) lived with a parent who has experienced an alcohol use disorder in the past year. According to the report by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) 6.1 million of these children live with two parents—with either one or both parents experiencing an alcohol use disorder in the past year.

Gov. Mary Fallin demonstrated her continuing support for mental health and addiction services in Oklahoma by proposing a budget increase for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
