Peggy Thompson
She recently retired so she can spend her time on issues affecting women who are, or have been incarcerated by improving the chances of being successful when re-entering society. These efforts have lead her to be involved with creating more faith based support programs from the community and trying to remove some of the obstacles they encounter when becoming productive citizens. Peggy grew up in southeastern Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She previously was appointed by Governor Walters to serve on the State of Oklahoma Board of Governors of Registered Dentists, and a board member of Living Hope Transitional Living Center. She is also a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City and is also a member of the Pastor Parish Relations team for New Covenant United Methodist Church of Edmond where she is a member. She is married to Mick Thompson, State Banking Commissioner, and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Last Modified on 11/12/2010
