Toxicology

The Toxicology Laboratory provides services for both the Central and Eastern Offices of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner System by providing forensic analytical testing of specimens and evidence from medical examiner cases. The laboratory is responsible for analytical testing, records maintenance and review of analytical testing for more than 5000 Medical Examiner cases annually. The staff consists of a Chief and Deputy Chief Toxicologist, seven chemists, a QA/QC analytical chemist,  an administrative assistant and a laboratory assistant. The laboratory performs more than 50,000 analytical tests each year on an excess of 20,000 specimens.  The laboratory is accredited by ABFT (American Board of Forensic Toxicology).
