COPNET Program
Community Oriented Proactive Narcotics Education and Training
The COPNET program is a newly formed partnership between the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and AmeriCorps, a community service organization. Through this partnership, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics will offer twenty part-time instructors, stationed throughout the State of Oklahoma, who will present drug education and awareness programs to school children from kindergarten to 12th grade. These OBN instructors will also provide drug education programs to concerned Oklahoma citizens who want to educate themselves on drug abuse issues facing our state. This includes, but is not limited to, youth marijuana use, prescription and date rape/club drug trends, and the escalating methamphetamine problem, as well as signs and symptoms of substance abuse. There is no cost associated with these programs.
