Attorney General Opinions

AG Opinion 83-76.  Expressly holds that an audiologist may sell hearing aids without obtaining a dealer and fitter license.  The opinion interprets the language of "rendering or offering to render . . . rehabilitation" in the definition of the practice of audiology to include the fitting and dispensing of hearing aids.  See also, 15 O.S. 764.1 which defines "hearing aid provider" to include an audiologist for purposes of the Consumer Protection Act provisions regarding sales of hearing aids.
