City-Wide Garage Sale

April 25 thru April 28, 2013 - No permit required on these dates.

Spring Clean-Up - one day only

Saturday, May 11, 2013. For Nicoma Park residents only, proof of residency required. This year's clean-up will be held at the City Park at 1801 N. Hiwassee. Gates will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Curbside Bulk Pick-Up for 2013

February 14

November 14

You must have trash service with Allied Waste in order to participate in the Curbside Pick-Up.

Trash must be at curbside prior to 6:00 a.m. on the day of pick up.

Bulk Waste Restrictions:

    • Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners are accepted provided the Freon has been properly drained by a qualified technician, certification issued and placed on the unit.
    • Brush is to be cut into 4-foot length sections, tied and bundled.
    • No pieces of concrete or rocks.
    • Smaller items should be placed in containers or bags.
    • No massive construction or demolition materials.
    • No hazardous waste.
    • No batteries, paint, tires, oils or liquid substances.
    • No dead animal carcasses.
    • No more than 3 cubic yards.
    • All bulky waste must be placed at the curb or roadside.

Admission $3 - No age limit.
Smoke and alcohol free environment.

Senior Meals Luncheon

Senior Citizen lunches are provided by the Area-Wide Aging Agency each Wednesday in the Nicoma Park Community Center. You must call City Hall at 769-5673 by 4:00 p.m. each Monday to reserve your lunch. There is no charge, but donations are accepted to help cover the cost of materials and supplies for the lunches.
