Utility Service

The City of Nicoma Park offers Sewer Service to about two-thirds of the community. Those not on city sewer have septic tanks. All city residents and businesses are on well water.

Sewer Service

Effective April 1, 2008, all contracts for sewer service are to be in the name of the "Customer." "Customer" means any person or entity who is a owner, landlord or deed holder of the property.

Monthly billing is completed on or around the 1st of the month. 

Billing is for the previous month and due on or before the 20th day of each month.

A late charge of $5.00 will be applied to all payments made after the 20th of the month.

To set up service, the applicant must complete a Service Application at City Hall and must have a current drivers license or other approved form of identification (i.e. passport). This applies to all residents and businesses on sewer. (To find out if your home or business is on sewer, please contact City Hall at 769-5673.

Sewer Rates

Single Family Residential Units

One or two permanent residents $16.00 per month
Deposit $32.00

Three or more permanent residents $18.00 per month
Deposit $36.00

Multifamily Residential Units

$18.00 per unit per month.
Deposit $36.00

However if the owner, manager or person in control of the multifamily residential units files with the city a written election to pay for all units on one bill, the rate is $16.00 per unit per month.

Multifamily residential units containing twenty (20) or more units where the owner, manager or person in control of the units files with the city a written election to pay all units on one bill, the rate is $13.00 per unit per month.

The fee is due whether the unit is vacant or otherwise.

Commercial Establishments and Retail Stores

For commercial establishments and retail stores fitting the following example category (office, bank, savings and loan association, warehouse, daycare center licenses for ten or fewer children, bakery, auto recycler, auto salvage and auto repair, beauty shop, barber shop and print shop).

$30.00 per month.
Deposit $60.00

Commercial Establishments and Industrial

For commercial and industrial uses fitting the following examples category (car wash, laundry, school, church, slaughter house, service station and auto repairs and car washing, restaurants, motels, bars and taverns, convenience stores, food processing establishments and daycare centers licensed for more than ten children).

All users in this category are required to install, at the user¿s expense, a flow meter measuring device acceptable type and design to the city and to pay the following monthly sewage charge: $25.00 per month, plus $2.50 per one thousand gallons of sewage flow.
