Institute for Dispute Resolution Staff
Linda Jaco, Director
Linda received her M.S. in School Psychology from Columbia University in 1977 and her B.S. in Secondary Education and Child Development from University of Houston in 1974. She worked as a school psychologist with the Houston Independent School District and as Supervisor of Psychological Services at The John E. Fogarty Center in Providence, RI before her appointment as Manager of Oklahoma ABLE Tech in October, 1995. In February, 2006 Linda was appointed Assistant Director for Sponsored Programs at the Seretean Wellness Center. Linda is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America, the National Mental Health Association, and the National Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs (where she served as Chair). She is very involved throughout the State and Nation in programs and services for persons with disabilities, sitting on a number of boards and legislative task forces.
Andrea Braeutigam, Program Manager
Andrea is an Attorney-Mediator. B.A., University of Washington (1998), J.D. cum laude, Oklahoma City University School of Law (2002), LL.M. Dispute Resolution, University of Missouri-Columbia (2005). As Program Manager of the Institute for Dispute Resolution at Oklahoma State University, she handles the day to day management of IDR and the Oklahoma Agricultural Mediation Program. She has mediated and facilitated civil, commercial, and agricultural matters. She is a member of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution, Co-Chairs the Oklahoma Bar Section of Dispute Resolution and is a board member of the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals. Andrea loves to cook and spend time with her husband, Michael Velez, Attorney, and their two beloved Golden Retrievers.
Alan Ware, Outreach Specialist
Alan is an outreach specialist for the Institute for Dispute Resolution programs. Alan comes to the team after working for the Kerr Center for Sustainable Agriculture for over 20 years. Alan graduated from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas with B.S. in Horticulture in 1987. He worked in the blueberry industry in Texas for several years before joining the Kerr Center. Alan served in many capacities for the Kerr Center. Alan has worked with producers throughout Oklahoma on many projects and looks forward to educating producers about the services the Institute has to offer them. Alan loves to spend time doing outdoors activities and time with his family.
Terrie Altman, Administrative Specialist
Terrie is the initial contact person for all of the Institute programs. She coordinates all the requests for services and assists in the day to day coordination. Terrie has been with the Oklahoma Agricultural Mediation Program since the mid-1990's. Terrie loves playing with her new grandchild and working on projects for her home and yard.
