Workshops & Roundtables
The Marginal Well Commission has teamed up with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, the Ground Water Protection Council,
and the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission to sponsor a workshop on ‘Oklahoma Water and Oil and Gas’.
This workshop is focused on water issues related to the oil and natural gas industry.
In this workshop, the OWRB will discuss the Oklahoma water law as it pertains to use of stream water and groundwater, application requirements, dam safety regulations, flood plain regulations,
and minimum well construction for fresh water wells. They will also explain how to fill out the applications required for oil and gas use and landowner consent agreements/easements.
The OCC will cover ‘base of treatable water’ and ‘special field rule areas’.
The GWPC & IOGCC will showcase their FracFocus hydraulic fracturing chemical registry for companies that would like to participate. This informative
session explains the company registration process and the procedures for designating system users and managing disclosure records.
The total cost of this workshop is $50 and it will run from 8:00 AM - noon.

across the state of Oklahoma:
Lawton - June 19
Elk City - June 21
Woodward - July 18
McAlester - July 25
Oklahoma City - August 7
Tulsa - August 23
