SPCC Update and Green House Gas Rules
You will receive an update on the final SPCC Rule and the annual training which is designed to teach the elements that are required by the EPA in implementing a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan. You will receive a certificate following the class to document annual training for your SPCC Plan. Additionally, the workshop will address the upcoming requirements faced by the industry related to the Greenhouse Gas Mandatory Reporting Rule. This will include the need to file an "Extension Request" for utilization of the flexible Best Available Monitoring Methods (BAMM) by March 31, 2011, if appropriate, and the need to have a "Monitoring Plan" prepared and available at each facility for EPA inspection by April 1, 2012. This "Monitoring Plan" is required for identification of personnel responsibilities and record keeping documentation of required data collection.
The total cost of this workshop is $50 and it will run from 9:00AM-12:00PM

Flares & EPA Regulations Luncheon
The Marginal Well Commission has teamed up with the Zeeco, Inc. and Integrated Controls, Inc. to hold a luncheon on the topic -Best Practices: Flares & EPA Regulations. With new regulations in place for US oil & gas production, as well as processing facilities, many operating companies have created new standards for tank venting, production equipment emissions, VOC combustion, and gas recovery. Zeeco's presentation will discuss the latest mandated EPA regulations with regard to the Clean Air Act. This includes 40 CFR 60.18, Quad O, and guidance for cost-efficient and effective flare system designs.
