| Communications Technician (COMT) Train-the-Trainer Course |

| This course helps participants develop the core competencies required for teaching the COMT Course within their own states. The course includes instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture and active participation in multiple exercises. It provides a realistic, hands-on approach to mastering the skills of instructing the COMT Course. NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position-Specific Train-the-Trainer training must be completed by personnel who are assigned to function in a COMT position and/or support ICS positions. Participants must demonstrate a working knowledge of ICS through experience and training and must be experienced in delivering adult education. Prerequisites include: Participants must submit the following information to OKOHS via fax (405) 425-7295: 1) A signed copy of the Verification Page of the COMT Position Task Book 2)Professional Resume documenting significant experience as an instructor 3) IS-265, Basic Instructional Skills Certificate 4) IS-100, Introduction to the Incident Command System Certificate 5) IS-200b, ICS for Single Resources Initial Action Incidents Certificate 6) ICS-300, Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents Certificate 7) ICS-400, Advanced ICS, Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents Certificate 8) Completion of the State of Oklahoma Position-Specific Application (Attached) 9) Documentation supporting the successful completion of formal adult education and/or training (See Attached COMT TtT Course Requirements) Hotel Accommodations: Hotel Accommodations will not be provided but OKOHS will reimburse students who wish to make arrangements starting the day of the course. You are only eligible for reimbursement if your residence and official work station are more than 60 miles from the training location and you are a state or local agency responder from Oklahoma. |
