Bomb Squads  

Oklahoma bomb squads make up the explosive component of the Regional Response System.  Oklahoma has 7 FBI certified bomb squads. Each received a standardized bomb response robot as well as other equipment, as needed.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad	Statewide jurisdiction

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad has statewide jurisdiction and assists communities not already covered by a local jurisdiction.  Members will also assist other bomb squads as requested.  The bomb squads facilitate the ability of the Regional Response System to coordinate a response anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.

• Explosive detection including: X-Ray, chemical analyses, manual and K-9 search and recovery
• Commercial & military explosive recovery
• Disposal of explosives
• Pre & post blast evidence recovery
• Haz-Mat technician level certified
• IED mitigation / render safe
• CBRNE detection
• Emergency decon
• Crime scene
• Liaison with Federal agencies (FBI, ATF, military)
• Underwater explosive recovery
