Oklahomans now have access to the state’s 3-digit Information and Referral hotline, 2-1-1. The 2-1-1 phone number will be “live”, 24 hours daily, 365 days annually, statewide, effective April 1, as the remaining 19 counties in North Central and Northwestern Oklahoma transition into the 2-1-1 service. more

STATE’S NEWLY RENOVATED EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER OPEN FOR BUSINESS

The newly renovated State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was unveiled following a ribbon-cutting by Gov. Brad Henry today. The EOC is the location from which state resources are deployed during disaster and emergency times. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) oversees operations at the EOC, which is located 20 feet below ground on the State Capitol Complex. more
