OKLAHOMA RESPONDERS TO RECEIVE EQUIPMENT THROUGH DHS' COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT DIRECT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CEDAP)

The Office of State and Local Government Coordination Preparedness (SLGCP) administers the CEDAP program to assist smaller agencies acquire equipment and technology that will help them meet their homeland security needs and help them with their homeland security mission.

The following Oklahoma response agencies are receiving awards:

• Cordell Fire Department
• Dewey County Emergency Management
• Ponca City Emergency Management
• Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office
• Slaughterville Fire Department
• Texas County (emergency management)
• Town of Stonewall (emergency management)

The equipment is permanently transferred to the agency receiving the award. Typically there is a 1 year warranty and technical support for the equipment or system and this includes software upgrades, calibration, and any technical support required by the agency. After the first year, the agency becomes responsible for the maintenance, calibration, technical support and any licensing fees associated with the equipment or system.
