GOVERNOR HENRY SIGNS SB 14

Senate Bill 14 affects the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security Regional Advisory Councils. The bill reduces the number of required meetings from four to two a year and adds a Council of Government representative to each council. The bill takes effect July 1, 2005.

There are eight Oklahoma Homeland Security Regional Advisory Councils.

Each council has 13 members: a paid fire chief, volunteer fire chief, sheriff, police chief, county commissioner, mayor/city manager, hospital administrator, public health, emergency management, EMS, veterinarian, COG and volunteer service organization.
