EQUIPMENT PURCHASE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EPAP)

The Equipment Purchase Assistance Program (EPAP) provides the opportunity for authorized federal, state and local emergency response organizations to procure commercially available emergency response equipment through agreements with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) and Combat Support and Logistice Equipment/NBC and Marine Corps Systems Command.

The equipment offered through these programs includes a wide array of basic defensive equipment and commercial, off-the-shelf first responder equipment allowable under ODP's Homeland Security Grant Programs. HOMELAND SECURITY AND AMERICAN RED CROSS CO-SPONSOR NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH 2005

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the American Red Cross announced they will co-sponsor National Preparedness Month 2005, a nationwide effort held this September to encourage Americans to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses and schools.

DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY LAUNCHES LISTO NEGOCIOS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Advertising Council, today launched Listo Negocios. This extension of the Listo campaign, which educates and empowers Spanish-speaking individuals to prepare for and respond to potential terrorist attacks and other emergencies, focuses on business preparedness. Listo Negocios will help Spanish-speaking owners and managers of small to medium-sized businesses prepare their employees, operations and assets in the event of an emergency.  more
