Oklahoma City - Governor Brad Henry has proclaimed September 2008 as National Preparedness Month in Oklahoma. National Preparedness Month is a nationwide effort held each September that promotes three simple steps anyone can take to prepare for emergencies: 1) Get a Kit, 2) Make a Plan and 3) Be Informed. This year, the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) is promoting a variety of family friendly activities in September that highlight the importance of preparedness planning. more
