Resource Management

NIMS Emergency Resource Survey

NIMS-oriented resource management and mutual aid enhances incident readiness and response at all levels of government through a comprehensive and integrated system that allows jurisdictions to share resources among mutual aid partners.  The NIMS emphasizes the importance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on resources at every level of government and the use of resource management is a critical component of emergency incident management.

Oklahoma State, local and tribal jurisdiction POCs should maintain a current resource inventory in accordance with the NIMS typed definitions. For resources that have not been typed, resources should be defined by capacity and capability in accordance with the established resource typing methodology. Up-to-date inventories of response assets are a NIMS compliance requirement and are critical to effective incident management.

WebEOC Resource Manager

In 2009, Oklahoma began the implementation of the crisis management software, WebEOC for state and local users.  Within WebEOC there is a Resource Manager module that keeps a database of all Local and State resources in the state.  Resource Manager enables WebEOC users to inventory, request, deploy and track resources.
In order to use Resource Manager jurisdictions need to get the resource inventory process started.  The Import template found at the link below allows resources to be imported into the Resource Manager system.  Once this is completed, users of WebEOC will be allowed to make changes in the inventory as needed.  The resources entered into the template below will be imported directly into the WebEOC Resource Manager and it will be there when you begin accessing WebEOC this later year.

At this time, resources can be imported using the most common terms, descriptions and identifications known to your jurisdiction.  Resources may be "typed" to FEMA standards at a later date yet still identifiable by local Emergency Resource Officers.  Additional typing information and definitions listed by each discipline are also available at the following web site:   FEMA Resource Management
