Resource Management
Oklahoma State, local and tribal jurisdiction POCs should maintain a current resource inventory in accordance with the NIMS typed definitions. For resources that have not been typed, resources should be defined by capacity and capability in accordance with the established resource typing methodology. Up-to-date inventories of response assets are a NIMS compliance requirement and are critical to effective incident management. If not previously done, Local and Tribal Jurisdictions should complete the Oklahoma Emergency Resources Survey for your jurisdiction by August 15, 2008. Local and Tribal jurisdiction POCs will maintain a current status of all available resources at their location. To assist you with the completion of the survey, the NIMS Resource Typing Equipment Definitions has been included. The NIMS Resource Typing Equipment Definitions helps identify 120 of the most commonly requested response resources. Resources not identified in the resource survey can be listed on the last page of the survey along with a detailed description of the resource. NIMS Emergency Resource Survey Local and Tribal Jurisdictions that have not previously completed a resource survey should complete the contact information and equipment inventory on the Emergency Resources Survey form and return it by August 15, 2008. Click on the following link for an electronic copy of the Emergency Resources Survey. After completion, attach the document to an email and send to the following address: okohs@dps.state.ok.us. For agencies that do not have electronic mail capabilities, copy the attached documents and mail the completed form to the address below.
POCs that have completed previous inventories should update and maintain a current status of all available resources at their location as soon as possible. THERE IS NO NEED TO SEND AN UPDATED INVENTORY TO OKOHS AT THIS TIME! Additional typing and definitions listed by each discipline are also available at the following web site: FEMA Resource Management |
