The Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security is currently hiring for the following positions:

Regional Response System Coordinator

Description:
The Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) is seeking a Regional Response System Coordinator. In this position the person must use specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired prior to assuming the job. This is a full-time unclassified position with a salary in the 40s. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position will remain open until filled. OKOHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Job Summary
Essential job functions may include, but are not limited to: developing and managing a Regional Response System sustainment program, creating programs and standards for the Regional Response System, recordkeeping, budget management, complete purchase process, planning, and grants management. This position involves working closely with state and local officials, high levels of contact with provider agencies, and vendors, and participation in Homeland Security committees and performing other duties as assigned.

Duties associated with the position:
• Any duties as assigned by the Director, Chief of Staff, or the Training and Exercise Coordinator.
• Establishing working relations with contacts associated with the regional response system.
• Overseeing various equipment grant programs.
• Designing maintenance programs for regional response units and equipment.
• Designing a timetable for maintenance and replacement items for Regional Response system.
• Establish and maintain a budget for Regional Response System sustainment program.
• Monitor and track existing equipment in the field and assist with the resource typing process.
• Provide assistance of the WebEOC project implementation and sustainment.
• Responsible for all aspects of purchasing, from biding process to purchase.
• Work with the 800mhz program manager on issues concerning communications and interoperability components of the regional units.
• Some in-state and out-of-state travel.
• Possible provide assistant to larger incidents to assist with logistics or procurement unit
• Assist with the state National Incident Management System compliance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the functions and operations of the local response system; emergency response resources, or local and county concerns in emergency response; of the National Incident Management System; of the principles and practice for effective program planning and project implementation. Skills in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, and database management programs. Coordinate with multiple jurisdictions on a statewide basis, evaluate situations, adopt effective courses of action, analyze and communicate to local officials. Must be self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced work environment and to work under strict, tight deadlines. Must be highly organized and dependable and be able to organize and plan multiple projects and manage work schedule to meet deadlines.
