2005 LAW ENFORCEMENT TERRORISM PREVENTION (LETP) PROGRAM 3/15/05 Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention (LETP) program is available to local law enforcement agencies. Local law enforcement agencies can go to the OKOHS website or call OKOHS to receive an application for these funds. Applicants must submit a completed application to OKOHS by April 8, 2005. Grant funds must be expended within a two-year period from the federal award date. Local target hardening projectOKOHS is allocating funds for local target hardening projects across Oklahoma. OKOHS¿s eight homeland security regional advisory councils will develop and prioritize a list of local critical sites throughout their specific region. Funds will be distributed across the state to local law enforcement agencies to purchase the necessary items required to ¿harden¿ a local critical site. By submitting an application, local law enforcement agencies are expressing their interest in participating in this program and working with their region¿s homeland security advisory council to implement the suggested improvements. Recipients will be required to submit a Memorandum of Understanding and participate in OKOHS mandated training as well as submit a protection plan in accordance with OKOHS guidelines. |
