Inactivate/Retire: If your license is in good standing, you may retire your license by notifying the Department in writing. If your approved supervisor status is in good standing, you may request inactive status by submitting a request in writing to the Department. You may reactivate your approved supervisor status by submitting the required therapy supervision continuing education due by the end of the current renewal period. If your approved supervisor status is inactive for three (3) or more years, you must retake and pass the LMFT Oral Exam before your approved status can be reinstated. You may retire your approved supervisor status by notifying the Department in writing. A retired approved supervisor status cannot be reinstated but does not prevent a person from applying for approved supervisor status at a future date. If you fail to renew your approved supervisor status your approved status will be suspended forfeiting the right to supervise licensees. You have the right to reinstate the approved supervisor status by submitting a completed continuing education roster for approved supervisors documenting three (3) hours accrued in therapy supervision for each missed renewal period. No re-application for a revoked approved supervisor status, as a result of administrative proceeding, shall be considered for a period of five (5) years following the revocation. |
Q: How long will it take to receive my new verification cards?
A: The PCL Division processes renewal materials on a daily basis. However, the Oklahoma State Department of Health experiences an increase in the amount of mail received during the month of December. This influx creates delays in the processing of our mail. In order to avoid delays, please submit your renewal materials as early as possible. |
