OTSIDAC - Oklahoma Trauma Systems Improvement and Development Advisory Council Trauma and Systems Development was formed in December 2004 through the Oklahoma Trauma System Improvement and Development Act. This bill: • Created the Oklahoma Trauma Systems Improvement and Development Advisory Council (OTSIDAC); • OTSIDAC is an advisory council comprised of eighteen (18) members. It is composed of emergency physicians, trauma registrar’s, hospital representatives, orthopedic surgeons, faculty member from a state university/college of public health, EMS Medical Director, representative from rehabilitation facility, Hospital Administrator from a Level I or II, trauma surgeon, representative from the Department of Public Safety, pediatrician, general public representative, EMS Administrator. • Created Regional Trauma Advisory Boards (RTAB) with representation from regional hospital and ambulance services; • Called for development of a statewide trauma system plan • Called for the development, regulation and improvement of trauma systems on a statewide basis • Requires the development of regional trauma quality improvement activities and a state Medical Audit Committee to review these activities.
